North Bend School District and North Bend Police Department Expand School Resource Officer Program

The North Bend School District and the North Bend Police Department are excited to announce the expansion of their School Resource Officer (SRO) program, further strengthening their partnership to support students, staff, and families.

Beginning April 7 Officer Sanne will join the district as the second SRO, working alongside Officer Jaehnig to enhance school safety and engagement. Officer Sanne will primarily serve North Bend Middle School and Hillcrest Elementary School, while Officer Jaehnig will continue as the primary SRO at North Bend High School and North Bay Elementary School.

Officer Sanne already has an enduring commitment to our youth, he currently coaches for the boys' bowling team and youth baseball. His dedication to mentoring young people will be a great asset in his new role as SRO.

This expansion reflects a shared commitment between the police department and the school district to foster positive relationships, provide mentorship, and ensure a safe learning environment.
