Official Press Release -
The North Bend School District is excited to announce the appointment of our new Athletic Director, Brandon Standridge, a highly qualified and experienced leader who is committed to the success of our student-athletes and the strength of our athletic programs. Brandon is currently the Assistant Principal/Athletic Director at Creswell High School, a position he has held for the past 6 years. He was the Athletic Director at Bandon High School for four years before that.
Brandon is a proud graduate of Linfield College, where he earned a degree in history. He has obtained two master's degrees, one in teaching and another in sports and leisure commerce. Brandon’s commitment to professional growth is also evident through his licensure as an Oregon School Administrator and as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator.
Brandon brings a wealth of experience in education, holding licenses as a teacher in social studies, PE, and health. This strong educational foundation will be invaluable in supporting our student-athletes both on and off the field. His extensive coaching background, having coached boys and girls basketball, baseball, and softball at the high school level. This hands-on experience provides a deep understanding of the dedication and effort required for athletic success.
Brandon’s leadership in athletics has been recognized with several prestigious accolades, including the 2025 Winner of the Cindy Simmons Leadership Award for 3A/2A/1A Oregon Athletic Directors Association. He has also been a 3 Time State AD of the Year Nominee, highlighting their consistent dedication, impact, and professional support. Notably, under Brandon’s guidance, Creswell High School was recognized as 1 of 24 schools nationally for being an Exemplary Athletic Program. This achievement demonstrates a commitment to building a well-rounded and successful athletic environment. As Creswell's athletic director Brandon Standridge stated, his focus was on "building a culture from middle school through high school and into the community". This philosophy of prioritizing culture and supporting student-athletes is something North Bend School District and our community values, and it aligns to our District’s strategic plan.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, our new Athletic Director is deeply committed to family and community. Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie, son Brye (almost 3 years old), daughter Stetsyn (18 months), and his 7-year-old German Shepherd, Meer. His personal interests include attending Duck sporting events and Broadway Shows at the Hult Center, and he is also an avid bowler, hunter, and fisherman.
We believe that our new Athletic Director's extensive experience, dedication to student success, and passion for athletics will be a tremendous asset to the North Bend School District. Please join us in welcoming Brandon to our community and the North Bend School District family.
